A collection of tributes were received in honour of Aditya from across the world, showcasing the innumerable number of lives he touched; from family and friends to acquaintances and respected voices in the conservation sector.
Shocked and saddened beyond words. My heartfelt condolences. I can not believe it. You have touched our lives so deeply and of countless thousands. Friends are like you and dicky are hard to come by. Please take care and wish you all the strength to overcome the grief and pain. 🙏
My dear Poonam …. In this darkest of times, be strong.
Dicky was always so proud of what you and him achieved over the decades of work. You both blazed a trail that not many dare travel upon.
I always felt so close to you both for the common factor of doing something everyone always thought we were mad to do.
We always followed our passions.
Dicky was such a strong and passionate man and in his own silent way always did what he wanted. He dealt with everything in the world on his own terms and that, no one can ever take away from him and for me, that will be his greatest defining trait. The reason that was possible was always you and your unflinching support and you always pulling the slack on everything.
Dicky May have left you, but he bowed to no one ever. He lived many lives in a world where people live little pieces and excuses for life. You were always the foundation on all that he did and achieved. There is such an outpouring of love for him today, everywhere and everyone …. It just shows now deeply you both connected with people and how you both stand for so much always. Please take care of yourself and of Nyra .. I know you will but Dicky’s legacy will also always stand you both in good stead. I send you both all my love and my deepest Condolonces … I drink a toast to my friend today … as he would have wanted me to. Men such as him as rare in our world. He leaves us all poorer for having lost him. Be strong my friend. I am always there when you need a friend … please take care of yourself … yours, in grief, Rocky

Hi Poonam, we were deeply shocked hearing the news of Dickie’s passing and cannot imagine the loss you and Nayara experience. Our deepest condolences to you and the family.
We recall our trip in Feb with great fondness and will always cherish Dickie’s passion for conservation, wildlife and the life you built together. He will stay an inspiration for many.
You and Nyra are in our thoughts and prayers. Take care. (Arti)
Dear Poonam, I’m at a loss for words that will bring succour and give you all the strength to cope with the untimely passing of Dicky. I count myself fortunate that you both welcomed Arunima and me into your home last December. Your life in Ranthambhore is testament to your resilience and vision. Sending you and Nyra love and hugs.
Dear Poonam & Nyara,
Mita, I, Tanay & Tanuj, extend our deepest condolences at Dicky’s passing. We met him and you earlier this year and envisaged many more happy meetings. Sadly we cannot all be together now, but we will not forget the happy time we spent with you. Please tell us, if there is any way we can be of help. Dicky’s passing must be mourned, but his life has to be celebrated. His life and work will be an inspiration for many. Be sure he will still be watching out for the two of you, and for all of Ranthambore.
Deeply shocked to learn of dearest Dickeys passing. Shant sadgati to his departed soul and strength to you Poonam dearest and your near and dear family. Yours in sorrow and praying for shanti to Dicky. 🙏
For the first time in all these years attending numerous prayer ceremonies I had tears in my eyes. I felt that Dicky would walk in anytime with his mesmerizing smile and then I saw his brother for the first time and believed he was there , they look identical ! Sonam is a friend and I have never seen her performing and I got to see her yday at such a special and blessed gathering . What ever said and done and how much we try everyone will miss his vivacious energy and presence . I can relate as I too have lost my brother , father and son , it’s never easy. It gives me joy that how close knit the friends and family of Dicky are . I have had the pleasure of meeting him twice , once at his exhibition at Chattarpur and second when we met over drinks and laughs at the Panchsheel club . His simplicity and genuineness as a human being is what came to the fore front .
On a genuine note when ever we have a foundation in his name I would like to be a part of it in some way with your direction .
I wish you and the family strength and hope , he lives in your heart and his lives works stays for us to see and cherish forever .
Love ❤️
There is an old saying that “Sad news travels fast” and it could not be more true to-day, News has already reached us (even though we are not on any of the Social Media websites) of your very heartbreaking loss of Dicky. We are only just getting over the shock so cannot imagine how you and Nyra feel at this time.
Although we are far away we just wished you to know that we are thinking of you both and I know all our fellow travellers on our Tigers Eye Tours will also wish us to express their condolences at this very sad time.
We will all remember all the kindnesses Dicky showed to every one of our groups when we visited the Bagh and beyond.
Deepest and heartfelt sympathies
