A collection of tributes were received in honour of Aditya from across the world, showcasing the innumerable number of lives he touched; from family and friends to acquaintances and respected voices in the conservation sector.
Dear Poonam and Nyra!
May I express our deep and heartfelt condolences on the death of your beloved husband and Dad. We are shocked and deeply devastated by his sudden death and found out about it this morning. Gurjar Ram Singh had informed me about it. We are with you in all our sympathy and deep sadness. May God help you and give you strength! The loss is immeasurable for you but also for all his whole family and friends, nature photographers, conservationists and for nature conservation in general. Aditya‘s name and his work are firmly and indelibly linked with Ranthambhore, its tigers, the entire nature and the people there. This should give you comfort and a lot of confidence for the future!
In deep sadness and mourning!
Dear Poonam
I just heard the news And iam very very sorry for your loss Will well and truly miss Dicky in every sense possible Can’t even imagine rathambore without him 💔 My love and fond regards to you and Nyra, Please let me know if I can be of any help.
Innalillahi wa Inna lillahi rajiun
May his soul rest in peace
My dear Poonam …. In this darkest of times, be strong. Dicky was always so proud of what you and him achieved over the decades of work. You both blazed a trail that not many dare travel upon. I always felt so close to you both for the common factor of doing something everyone always thought we were mad to do. We always followed our passions. Dicky was such a strong and passionate man and in his own silent way always did what he wanted. He dealt with everything in the world on his own terms and that, no one can ever take away from him and for me, that will be his greatest defining trait. The reason that was possible was always you and your unflinching support and you always pulling the slack on everything. Dicky May have left you, but he bowed to no one ever. He lived many lives in a world where people live little pieces and excuses for life. You were always the foundation on all that he did and achieved. There is such an outpouring of love for him today, everywhere and everyone …. It just shows now deeply you both connected with people and how you both stand for so much always. Please take care of yourself and of Nyra .. I know you will but Dicky’s legacy will also always stand you both in good stead. I send you both all my love and my deepest Condolonces … I drink a toast to my friend today … as he would have wanted me to. Men such as him as rare in our world. He leaves us all poorer for having lost him. Be strong my friend. I am always there when you need a friend … please take care of yourself … yours, in grief.

Who can believe that larger than life Aditya Dicky Singh is no more. Ranthambhore will miss him like no other….he loved every inch of Ranthambhore and was a great fighter for it. He said what he felt and never compromised with the truth. He was one of the finest wildlife photographers I have ever known and all my books of the last two decades were strengthened by his brilliant photographs. I know few who were so generous with their photographs and always willing to help. He was loved locally by all the hundreds that make up the team of guides..drivers and forest staff. I will never forget his sense of humor and laughter and so much more that made him a superb pillar of conservation on which Ranthambhore could rest.
Dicky as he liked to be called is gone and will be sorely missed…missed by one and all and all the tigers and wildlife of Ranthambhore especially.
Dear Poonam & Nyara,
Mita, I, Tanay & Tanuj, extend our deepest condolences at Dicky’s passing. We met him and you earlier this year and envisaged many more happy meetings. Sadly we cannot all be together now, but we will not forget the happy time we spent with you. Please tell us, if there is any way we can be of help. Dicky’s passing must be mourned, but his life has to be celebrated. His life and work will be an inspiration for many. Be sure he will still be watching out for the two of you, and for all of Ranthambore.
