A collection of tributes were received in honour of Aditya from across the world, showcasing the innumerable number of lives he touched; from family and friends to acquaintances and respected voices in the conservation sector.
Dearest Poonam, just checking in to let you know that I have been thinking about you and Nyra a lot – truth is I started this message to you while I was in India – escorted a small group of clients to the South…before accompanying a few of them to Satpura NP – a reserve that I had not visited before and one that was a pleasant surprise!
It is such a pull on the old heart strings when we farewell those that we love – and when it happens too soon & so quickly – the pull, I can only imagine is almost unbearable. It is hoped that while these past few weeks have been unbelievably difficult for you and your family – that the outpouring of love and condolences has made the passing of Aditya a little easier to bear. It goes without saying that he was such a wonderful husband, doting dad, great friend and wildlife warrior. In Australia – we would sum him up in just a few words – “a bloody good bloke”.
I will always be grateful to Tirath for introducing us almost 20 years back (my first trip to Ranthambore) and I will remember fondly all the late night parties / laughter and wee drams that we all shared at the Bagh (progressing on from Old Monk Rum & coke🙂) – always loved your warm & welcoming hospitality.
The first of “everything” will be the hardest / festivals / birthdays / special occasions for you all but something tells me Aditya will not be far away as his spirit will live on and be beside you always.
One of my favourite memories was Feb 2018 when Tirath and I made a surprise visit to Aditya’s photographic exhibition. – he was so chuffed to see us – his work was fabulous (including Africa) and it was an honour and privilege to drop in – we were on our way to the airport to meet clients before the tour started…
Ok enough rambling – sincerely trust that you are doing OK – take care and I look forward to perhaps seeing you next time I am in Ranthambore. Sending massive good vibes your way and a big warm hug from Oz.

Condolences dear Poonam. Words cannot express the shock to hear the passing of dear Dicky. May God give you all the strength in the world to come to terms with this irreparable loss.
I just read about Dicky in the newspaper. I can’t believe it! I am fortunate that I encountered him and you, however fleetingly in my life. You are exceptional people. Sending my love to you and the little one. I have no words to console you at this unimaginable loss
